How does this app work?

1. A pre-requisite of using our App is having a paid Zoom account. To check that your Zoom account is a paid account, go to zoom.us.

2. Click SIGN IN or MY ACCOUNT in the upper right nav, and ensure that your User Type is Licensed (or any other paid User Type)

3. Click “Meetings” in the nav bar on the left

4. Click “Schedule a New Meeting”

5. Enter in any data you wish - use a date for the meeting in the future.

6. IMPORTANT: You must make sure Registration: Required checkbox is enabled.

7. Click “Save”

8. Navigate to https://www.seminal.video

9. Hover over Login/Signup in the upper nav and click Signup

10. Enter new account credentials

11. You should then be redirected to https://www.seminal.video/onboarding where you will need to connect a Stripe account. Sign in with the Zoom user belonging to the account you logged into in Step 2.

12. You will now see your dashboard that lists your meetings. For each meeting/class, as a teacher, you can create a link that will charge $10 to register in that meeting. Find the meeting you created in steps 4-7, and click “Create Link”

13. Click “View”

14. You are now seeing the page that a prospective customer would see. Teachers can share this link with students through any manner.

When does money I make from classes deposit into my bank account?

Money you receive from your classes will be deposited 3-5 business days after you have received the money into your Stripe account.  If you would like to receive payouts on a different schedule, please contact us.

How do I setup an event link for my class?

A button labeled "create link" will be displayed next to all of your upcoming classes in Zoom.  When you click this link it will walk you through steps to setup the event link.

What is the payment processing fee for a class students sign up for through Seminal?

The fee to process each students payment is 2.9% plus $.30 a transaction. For example, if a student's ticket is $100 then the fee will be $3.20 to process that transaction: $2.90 + $.30.

Can I add my social media handles to my event page?

Yes.  When you create an event we will prompt you to setup social media links for the webpage.

Can I have different pricing per class?

Unfortunately not at this time, all classes will be the same price.

Do you charge a monthly fee?

Nope!  You are only charged when someone joins one of your classes.  We only make money when you make money.
